Crafted Spotify's 'The Book is Better Than the Movie' campaign, winning Bronze Pencil at Young Ones 2022 Awards.

For Spotify's audiobook advertising campaign, I led the 'The Book is Better Than the Movie' campaign, spotlighting the compelling book storyingtelling over their movie adaptations. By creatively focusing on well-known films derived from books, we underscored the depth and richness often overlooked in cinematic versions. A prime example includes highlighting Neville Longbottom's pivotal role in the 'Harry Potter' series, underscoring the narrative's complexity and character development that films sometimes bypass with the tagline, “Movies Make Heroes Bland, Books Elevate Them.”



Employing techniques in Creative Directing and Visual Advertising Design, our campaign artfully juxtaposed the detailed storytelling found in books with the occasionally simplified portrayals in movies. This strategy not only engaged audiences but also sparked discussions about the merits of audiobooks, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the original literary works.


This campaign's innovation and impact were recognized at the Young Ones 2022 Awards, where we were honored with the Bronze Pencil. This accolade underscored our creative approach and the campaign's effectiveness in promoting Spotify's audiobook category, highlighting our team's ability to transform traditional advertising into an engaging, narrative-driven experience.
