As the Marketing Director for Boston University Global China Connection (BUGCC), I led the charge of renovating our social media presence across multiple platforms, including Instagram, WeChat, and Xiaohongshu.
My role encompassed the strategic planning and execution of social media campaigns, crafting compelling visuals and copy that resonated with our audience. I developed engaging content tailored to highlight BUGCC’s commitment to professional development services for students and to draw financial support from sponsors.
Project highlight: Guinness World Record X BUGCC Social Media
Key projects under my direction played a big role in elevating BUGCC’s profile and engagement within and beyond the Boston University community. Particularly, the “Guinness World Record X BUGCC” event marketing campaign successfully garnered over 100 attendees, as well as using strategic outreach to news sources that resulted in our event being featured in the Boston Globe.
Project highlight: The Tour of Commonwealth Avenue
Another highlight was “The Tour of Commonwealth Avenue,” an interactive initiative designed to familiarize new students with BU through creative storytelling and digital engagement. These projects not only showcased BUGCC's vibrant community and educational opportunities but also demonstrated the power of strategic social media management in fostering connections and achieving tangible outcomes.
Through these initiatives, we not only expanded BUGCC’s reach among students, fostering awareness of the valuable professional development services offered but also attracted attention from potential sponsors, contributing to BUGCC's financial growth. My leadership in these efforts underscores the critical role of innovative social media strategies in advancing organizational goals and enhancing community engagement.
